TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. LOCK AND KEY DEPOSITS

A deposit of £50.00 per lock (including one key) must be paid in advance. Lost or damaged keys are charged at £25.00 each. Damaged locks will result in loss of deposit. Additional keys are available with a £25.00 deposit. Lost locks will be charged at full replacement cost.

2. COMPANY LIABILITY

The Company accepts no responsibility for loss or damage during loading, unloading, or for unsecured goods stored on site.

3. USE OF UNIT

Storage units are for storage purposes only. Working from units is strictly prohibited.

4. PROHIBITED ITEMS

The following items are strictly prohibited:

  • Inflammable or combustible materials
  • Petrol or oil unless fully drained
  • Perishable food
  • Animals or animal products
  • Explosives or fireworks
  • Toxic waste, asbestos, or chemicals
  • Radioactive materials
  • Illegal goods
  • Goods not owned by the customer

5. VEHICLE USE

Vehicles are permitted only for loading and unloading. Unauthorised overnight parking will incur a charge of £20.00 per night.

6. DAMAGE AND WASTE

Customers must not attach anything to the unit. Any damage must be reported immediately. Rubbish or waste left on site will be chargeable.

7. ACCESS TO UNIT

The Company may access the unit in emergencies or when required by Police, HM Customs & Excise, Fire Services, Local Authority, or Court Order.

8. ELECTRIC SUPPLY (IF FITTED)

Electrical supply is limited and cannot be guaranteed. Excessive usage or unpaid rent may result in removal of electrical access.

9. FORCE MAJEURE

The Company shall not be liable for events outside its control including fire, flood, strike, breakdown, power failure, or other unforeseen circumstances affecting access or use of the unit.

10. LICENCE AGREEMENT

This Agreement grants a licence to occupy the unit and is governed by English Law.


PAYMENT TERMS

11. RENT PAYMENTS

Rent is payable monthly in advance. One calendar month’s notice is required to terminate the agreement. Customers must notify the Company once the unit has been vacated.

12. LATE PAYMENTS

Late payments may result in:

  • A £5.00 per day late payment charge
  • Lockout from the site
  • Replacement of the unit lock

13. NON-PAYMENT PROCEDURE

If rent remains unpaid after one month:

  • A 7-day notice may be issued
  • Goods may be removed and sold to recover charges
  • Remaining goods may be disposed of
  • Accounts may be passed to a debt collection agency

TERMINATION / MOVE-OUT

14. NOTICE PERIOD

A minimum of one calendar month’s notice is required. Units must be left clean and empty. Goods left behind will be treated as abandoned.

15. EARLY VACATION

No refunds will be issued where the required notice period has not been given.


INSURANCE

Customers are responsible for arranging their own insurance. The Company does not insure stored goods.


CUSTOMER DECLARATION

The customer confirms:

  • The goods belong to them or permission has been obtained from the owner
  • The unit has been inspected and accepted
  • A copy of the agreement has been received
  • Payment confirms acceptance of the agreement

IMPORTANT PAYMENT NOTICE

  • Move-in rent is charged to the end of the calendar month
  • Future payments are due on the 1st of each month
  • Standing Order / Direct Debit discounts apply only to on-time payments
  • Late payment may result in lockout
  • Lock changes may take up to 3 working days

USEFUL INFORMATION

  • Do not block ventilation vents
  • Keep stored items away from unit walls
  • Avoid storing damp or wet items
  • Prevent water entering units during wet weather
